Seasons

Spring has officially sprung. The birds are chirping, the pollen is swirling, and the rain is falling on all of it. I particularly love any change in Season, because it gives me a time to reflect. To think about the past and dream about the future. And, Spring is particularly lovely while everything is waking up and blooming.

We are like Spring too. We are waking up and beginning to bloom. We are in this present moment and can choose to be loving.

“Love is a fruit in Season at all times, and within reach of every hand.” ~ Mother Theresa

Oh, how I love Mother Theresa!! I obviously don’t know her personally, but when I am unsure of what to do and I’ve said all the prayers I can say, and I’ve talked to all my best friends, I like to visualize that I’m sitting with Mother Theresa and I’m asking her for wisdom. She always knows exactly what I need to hear. She says what is right and we all know deep down is good, and right, and true.

Some seasons are hard. We lose friends, we suffer injustice, and even just fatigue from daily life. Life is hard. Really, really, hard. But, whatever the Season we are in, we can love better. We can chose to love others. The truth is it’s really the best thing we can do to heal ourselves. By loving others we love ourselves more, because we are doing what we know is right. And, by loving ourselves more we can love others better. It’s a wonderful practice that has brought me the most happiness in this life.

Some seasons are wonderful. That’s when we can be grateful. Life is also really, really, beautiful. Babies are born, people fall in love, laughter is shared. So very much to be grateful for!

We are complicated. Some days we are in both a hard place and a beautiful place. I really do love this beautiful, brutal life.

Today, I hope whatever Season you are in you choose love. Love yourself and love others. You are enough right now, this very moment. You are exactly what this World needs. There is no one that is exactly like you. You are so very, very special. Love is within reach of your very hand. Sending you so much love and light today and always.

Love~ Erin
