Gratitude

It’s the first of November.  A month that I commit myself to gratitude.  Thanksgiving is in November, and since it doesn’t require all the gifts and festivities, it is a wonderful time to practice gratefulness all month long.  So, today I begin.

I begin by practicing gratitude for the people in my life.  They are the most important thing in my life and I am eternally grateful that I am not alone in this life.  By practicing gratitude I cannot simply become aware that I am thankful for my family and friends.  True gratitude is practiced by appreciation.  It can be as small as bringing to mind my gratitude when I am with my children, or as elaborate as planning something special for someone in my life.  These acts develop my gratitude more deeply and ultimately will cultivate deeper relationships with the people I care about.

I am grateful to you for reading this.  I hope you are inspired to practice gratitude this Month as well.

Love~Erin
