Noor Unnahar is my favorite poet. Or, at least my favorite poet currently. She is from Pakistan and does a lot of art journaling, photography, mixed media stuff. But, she has one poem that I read to myself every day.
“She had a gypsy soul and a warrior spirit. She made no apologies for her wild heart. She left normal and regular to explore the outskirts of magical and extraordinary.
And she was glorious.” ~Noor Unnahar
So beautiful! Every day, I want to speak the extraordinary into my life. I want to call myself glorious, and then truly be glorious.
But, the truth is, I am writing this in my very favorite, most comfortable sweat pants. Hardly beautiful. And, my hair is in the messiest of buns, and I just finished a bowl of Kraft macaroni and cheese. Not very glorious. I fully admit I am a contradiction. Really, we all are.
But, I deserve to hear those words, and so do you. We were made for the extraordinary, and deep down we all know it. We are glorious, even in sweatpants eating junk food. Life is beautiful, and hard, and we all need to hear and be filled with words that speak hope into our lives.
May we be people who speak beauty into our own lives and then speak that same beauty into others lives. That is a glorious thought. May the words you read here be filling to your soul and may you spread that love and light to those around you.
All my love~Erin
